Colnago, a historic brand

Colnago was founded in Cambiago (Milan province) in 1954 by former cyclist Ernesto Colnago.
The brand logo represents a clover with rainbow stripes of world champions. This outstanding mechanic prepares and builds the frames for the Molteni team (later Eddy Merckx's team), which becomes unbeatable.

Colnago bike, a racehorse

Since Colnago has been equipping the largest professional teams with bicycles (actually the frame and fork), "Colnago" has won the greatest races in the world. In 1987 in Cambiago, in collaboration with Enzo Ferrari, they made an all-carbon bike using Formula 1 technology, but with this atypical system the bike could not be produced in series but would influence the following carbon models.

A Colnago fork, but what a fork!

The brand invented the right fork, after close collaboration with Ferrari, their calculations proving that a right fork is more efficient for easier manufacturing than a curved fork. Colnago also invented the first all-carbon fork (from the pivot to the fork legs). Colnago is the brand of the Italian class (airbrushed frame, each frame is unique), performance, top-of-the-range finish, in a word, the haute couture bike.
Finally, it is a partner of several UCI Pro Teams.
