Every gram counts, especially when it’s on a wheel. That’s why Absolut Black designed these tubeless valves, which are unique in that they’re made of carbon instead of the usual aluminum. This design significantly reduces the material’s density—to about half that of aluminum—while offering greater design flexibility to optimize the internal geometry. The result is a valve that is both lighter and entirely reimagined from the ground up. Weighing just 2.6 g for the 40 mm version, the Aether features a long-fiber carbon composite structure that provides exceptional mechanical strength. This demonstrates that extreme lightness can be perfectly combined with great durability.
Tubeless valves operate in a particularly demanding environment, exposed to latex particles, sealant residue, and constant pressure fluctuations. To address these challenges, the Aether valve features a simplified internal design that reduces the number of interfaces and minimizes areas where sealant residue can accumulate over time. By completely eliminating the traditional valve stem, this valve provides a more direct airflow path and removes one of the main causes of clogging and maintenance in modern tubeless systems. The result is a valve designed to minimize the risk of clogging, ensure consistent inflation, and maintain simple and reliable performance over time.
The Absolut Black Aether valve is available in two lengths. The shorter version (40 mm) is designed for rims with a height ranging from 18 to 30 mm. The longer version is suitable for rims with a profile between 30 and 55 mm.
