  • Its fabric: heavier than traditional poly-cotton, it drapes perfectly.
  • Its innovative composition, more sustainable than traditional cotton—even organic cotton. Lagoped has developed a blend of recycled cotton and recycled polyester to create a comfortable product with a controlled environmental impact.

DETAILS:

  • Round neck with no topstitching
  • "Waterprint" screen-printed design on the back and chest
  • Weight: 225 g
  • 220 g/m² jersey
  • Yarn made in Spain from recycled cotton (r-COT) and recycled polyester (r-PET) (pre- and post-consumer).
  • No dyeing; fibers sorted by color.

SUSTAINABILITY:

To protect the environment and your health, Lagoped makes no compromises. Here, the yarn used in the T-shirt is more sustainable than conventional or organic cotton. Recycled cotton requires no fertilizers, no water consumption, no agricultural labor, and results in lower carbon emissions. The land is either left fallow or reserved for food production. Isn’t that better?

Specifically, 1 kg of recycled cotton can be used to make 6 T-shirts, which will prevent:

  • the cultivation of 10 square meters of arable land,
  • the use of 15,000 liters of water (equivalent to four months of 5-minute daily showers)
  • the release of 23 kg of greenhouse gas emissions (roughly equivalent to driving 200 km in a small gasoline-powered car) (source: AITEX, University of Valencia, and UNESCO)
