The Shimano Deore XT BL-M8200 is a hydraulic disc brake lever designed to deliver powerful, precise, and consistent braking on the most demanding terrain. Its advanced ergonomic design is engineered to fit naturally in the hand and ensure excellent modulation and precise control of the bike.
Its new pivot point, positioned closer to the handlebars, follows the natural arc of the finger to provide a more natural braking feel. The improved reach adjustment allows you to precisely tailor the lever’s position to maintain a comfortable and efficient riding position, especially during technical sections.
The redesigned SERVO WAVE system optimizes the power curve and manages friction between the pads and the rotor throughout the lever’s travel. Combined with Shimano’s new low-viscosity mineral oil, it ensures consistent braking power across a wide range of temperatures.
The BL-M8200 also offers great versatility thanks to its compatibility with various calipers. It can be paired with the Deore XT M8220 Enduro caliper to prioritize power and control on rough terrain, or with the M8200 XC calipers for a lighter setup.
Its alloy lever blade benefits from Shimano’s proven stamping process to ensure excellent durability. Finally, the new hose routing contributes to a cleaner integration and a sleek, minimalist look for the cockpit.
