Description
This ABEC-5 ceramic hybrid bearing is designed to offer superior performance and great durability. It incorporates 52100 high-carbon chromed steel rings, machined with deep grooves allowing the use of larger diameter balls. These balls, made of grade 5 silicon nitride (Si N ) ceramic, are extremely hard, light and precise, which significantly reduces wear and increases the lifespan of the bearing by eliminating any steel-to-steel contact. Sealing is ensured by labyrinth type double lip seals (LLB), which effectively protect the bearing against external elements while keeping grease inside. This bearing is pre-filled with 90% Kluber NBU52 grease, a high-end lubrication highly adhesive, stable under pressure and water resistant. It is generally used as a hub bearing on older QR axis hubs, and can also be mounted on suspension pivots, although for the latter use the MAX version is better suited. Like all Enduro bearings, it is designed with particular attention to groove depth and sealing effectiveness to ensure maximum protection and longevity.
