Description

Ritchey's Universal Grease creates extra friction between two surfaces, reducing the clamping force required to ensure correct assembly by 30%.
This is particularly useful in the assembly of handlebars to stems and stems to steerer tubes; two areas where over-tightening can damage components that will not be covered under warranty.

Carbon accessories are very susceptible to damage from overtightening. In addition to reducing the amount of tightening required, Ritchey's Liquid Torque Universal Grease reduces stress on sensitive carbon surfaces, prevents damage and eliminates cracking. It protects against corrosion and remains effective even in wet conditions.

Ritchey Liquid Torque Universal Grease can be used for all carbon, aluminum and steel parts and in particular: for the seatpost in the frame, for the clamping of the seat to the seatpost, for the stem to the fork steerer tube, for the handlebars to the stem, for the bottom bracket bolts, for the threads of all bolts that need to be tightened a lot but can be unscrewed easily even after long use.

Assembly instructions :

Thoroughly clean the surfaces to be assembled of any dirt or greasy residue and then apply a thin layer of paste using a small brush or a clean, lint-free cloth.
Install the components according to the manufacturer's instructions and using a torque spanner, such as the Ritchey Torque Wrench which is recommended for all Ritchey stems and handlebars.
Be sure not to exceed the torque specified by the manufacturer.
Finally, clean up any excess assembly paste and reseal the packaging.

Many manufacturers do not accept warranty claims for damage caused by overtightening. Always refer to the manufacturer's recommendations for each component and always use a torque spanner.
