With this pedal, we have worked to improve shredding for young cyclists, with better ergonomics for small feet. With children's ves so much lighter and more efficient than ever, it's time to make sure that the components correspond to the smaller proportions of children.
In our opinion, this subject has received too little attention from the bicycle industry. Whether with the Q factor of children's bikes or the oversized pedal surface of children's pedals!
The Q factor and the support surface of the shoe on the body of the pedal were taken into account during the development of the Youngstar pedal.
The extra short pedal axis allows for a considerably lower Q factor, which prevents the legs from being forced into the "X position" with the legs arched.
This makes it much easier for children and leads to more circular rotations. Due to the smaller pedal surface area for children's feet, the pedal flip is reduced. Imagine that you have to stand on a pedal the size of an A4 sheet! You will certainly rock backwards or forwards, as you could never really stand in the middle of such a pedal! The Youngstar is much smaller, which makes it much easier to find the balance point. Weighing only 229 g, this pair of aluminum blades with CrMo axis is robust, durable but will be lighter than most blades.
