Description

The Unior 1658/2P sprocket wear indicator is used to check the condition of rear sprockets. It can be used to check sprockets from 12 to 21 teeth.

How to use the tool :

Procedure: the tool chain is positioned on the sprockets and the rounded end of the tool is placed on the top of the cassette between two teeth. The last chain link is moved away from the sprocket and a force of 100 N or 10 kg is applied to the tool in the direction of sprocket rotation. If the last tool link jumps off the sprocket easily, then the sprocket is still in good condition. If the last link sticks to the tested sprocket, or if you have to force it out, then it's worn and needs replacing; if the tool jumps completely off the cassette when pressure is applied, then the cassette sprockets are badly damaged.
