Sword Black has lower gears than the 9-speed options from the other guys. That gives you a usable gear whether you’re riding in the mountains or the foothills. Sword Black uses the same pull ratio as Sword, giving you the ability to mix and match derailleurs. If you have a Sword Black group but want a clutch, just use a Sword rear derailleur. Sword Black cuts a striking figure. Modern looks, modern feel, and modern gear ratios combine to form a groupset you would feel comfortable putting on anything.

Gravel rides can be long. Sword Black has precisely tuned ergonomics to help you stay comfortable on long gravel rides. Sword Black Drop Bar Shifters 1×9 outer edge of the hood is rounded to be comfortable on flared handlebars, while the inner edge gives your thumb a natural spot to grab onto. The hoods have raised traction patterns to ensure solid grip, with or without gloves. The brake pivot is higher than most road levers, which gives you more stopping leverage with mechanical disc brakes.
