Ergolace 2 is a lightweight, durable, quick-drying, and extremely comfortable shoe for riders who dream of going far beyond the pavement. Ergolace 2 carries on the spirit of its predecessor with a wider fit, reduced bulk, and a revised outsole offering even more grip on loose or uneven terrain. Available here in a version compatible with clipless pedals.

- Ergolace 2 invites you to ride farther, more often, and take your bike to the places you’ve always dreamed of. An improved new version of a model beloved by trail riders, bikepackers, and gravel enthusiasts. Ergolace 2 features a redesigned shape, wider in the metatarsal area, offering more freedom for the toes and a roomier fit for increased comfort during long days on the bike or long stretches of pushing it. The ideal choice for all off-road adventures, from daily explorations to bikepacking trips or e-MTB expeditions. Ergolace is back and better than ever.
- The upper is made from lightweight, breathable ripstop fabric to reduce excess material and bulk, allowing the shoes to dry quickly and providing a lightweight feel. Large PU-laminated panels offer protection and durability, while the reinforced toe box shields the feet from rocks and roots. The sock-like construction in perforated Airprene fabric wraps around the foot and offers greater comfort than a traditional tongue thanks to reduced material overlays, ensuring a pressure-free fit. Additionally, the perforated Airprene fabric promotes moisture wicking for better breathability and faster drying after wet rides.
- The closure system is ergonomic and asymmetrical so as not to interfere with the bike’s drivetrain. Proven worldwide on the original Ergolace, the new lacing system keeps feet perfectly stable even in the most extreme conditions. The Speedlace system locks and unlocks easily, even while riding, for a quick and convenient fit.
- The new X2 sole offers the ideal interface between shoe and pedal for fast trail riding and gravel adventures. It combines the ultra-grippy Vibram Megagrip compound with a zone-specific lug pattern. The midfoot features lower, more evenly spaced lugs to improve mechanical grip with the pedals; the pedal pins fit better into the sole’s grooves and keep the shoe perfectly in place. To improve traction during walking sections, we drew inspiration from other outdoor disciplines to develop an aggressive tread pattern under the heel and toes, where the sole does not interact with the pedal. The lugs are taller and more widely spaced to provide better grip on the ground. This clip-in version features a proprietary Ergolace nylon plate with an optimized shape to improve walking comfort. It is stiffer than the flat version to ensure better power transfer throughout the pedal stroke and increased pedaling efficiency.
