The wheel
PR 1400 Dicut Oxic represents the ultimate in terms of aluminum wheel, it has a
ceramic surface coating
Oxic recognized for its exceptional qualities, this process provides a matte black finish, very qualitative, which also ensures maximum braking performance while reducing to a minimum wear of the rim
Advantages of the Oxic coating :
- Excellent and consistent braking performance in all conditions.
- Unlike conventional aluminum rims, which degrade due to the abrasive action of brake pads and road debris, OXiC sidewalls are so hard that the rim remains intact throughout the normal life of a wheel. The brake pad is the only part subject to wear (DT Swiss supplies all OXiC wheels with special brake pads).
- Since the ceramic layer is deposited by a conversion coating process, the OXiC coating can deform with the rim without altering its excellent properties, even when subjected to high mechanical loads (conventional ceramic coatings tend to crack when subjected to mechanical stress).
- The OXiC coating process does not use volatile organic compounds or heavy metals, making it a very environmentally friendly technology.
- Black rims, always black: Because OXiC coatings contain no ink or dye, they are completely UV-stable and do not lose their shine or color under the effect of sunlight.

DICUT® TECHNOLOGY
The RRC DICUT® wheels range presents a perfect compromise between aerodynamics, technology and design. Their aggressive look is a good motivation for climbing. The DICUT® hubs allow very balanced tensions thanks to the optimized geometry of the flanges and the straight pull spoking. On the downhill, you can let go thanks to high modulus carbon rims whose layers are bonded by a specific high temperature resin. Special heat-reducing fiber layers are also integrated into the brake surfaces, further increasing the resistance.
OXIC - WEAR-RESISTANT BRAKE SURFACE
In the OXiC process, a ceramic coating is electrochemically deposited on the rim, making the surface extremely hard and wear-resistant. This process produces a high quality matt black finish that also guarantees maximum braking performance while reducing rim wear to a strict minimum.
TUBELESS®TECHNOLOGY
DT Swiss tubeless ready rims offer additional benefits compared to conventional rims. Their specific cross-sectional design allows for easy tire placement when inflating and, most of the time, all you need is a standard foot pump. The elaborate profile of DT Swiss rims guarantees a precise and secure seating of the tire, even when it is abused.
