We've all been guilty of avoiding washing our favorite down comforter or down sleeping bag. It's scary isn't it? You've invested your money in a nice jacket that keeps you warm and dry and yet with one wash, you could ruin it. But it's important to take care of your down jacket. If you don't keep it clean, it won't work as well, and that's why this Down Wash kit was invented, to eliminate that fear.
This kit includes
- Down Wash, a powerful yet gentle cleaner specially formulated to clean all your down and synthetic down filled items without damaging or inhibiting insulation or hydrophobic properties. Normal detergents should not be used on down items as they can impair performance by leaving various chemical residues and reducing the garment's ability to insulate or repel water. Fortunately, Grangers Down Wash is just that, a wash that has been formulated to thoroughly clean items without damaging the delicate material inside.
- 3 dryer balls, reusable (up to 1000 washes) and perfect for preventing clumping and ensuring that down items regain their loft. Previously, people used tennis balls, but these can actually bleed color onto the garment and crush the down. We recommend these dryer balls because they gently restore loft, which means your down will return to peak performance.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- Use one 25 ml cap per large item or two smaller items. Use half a cap if you wash your hands.
- Pour directly into the laundry drawer of your washing machine.
- Wash in a full cycle at 30°C/86°F or as directed on the care label.
- Once washed, control is evenly distributed, add dryer balls and check periodically throughout the drying cycle.
- Once completely dry, you are ready to go!
