Replacement suspension block for Brompton bikes.
Suspension is important on a bike with small wheels. A Brompton's suspension is provided by a polyurethane block located between the main and rear frames, lightweight and efficient. While helping to absorb road bumps, the material's natural damping also contributes to pedaling efficiency.
Brompton has always offered two different suspension blocks, a firm block and a standard block. However, the design has been refined using new materials and a new compression profile, making it more suitable for a much wider range of cyclists. As a result, Brompton now uses only one type of suspension block for its bikes. The hardness of the new block lies between the two old suspension types.
