Choosing the right sized bike depends on the type of bike, your height, your riding style, and your preference. A correct fitting bike will be more comfortable, more efficient and more fun to ride

What to do if you are in between bike sizes?
If you are on the edge of two different bike sizes, don't worry, you'll probably be ok on either size (rather than thinking that one size will be awful and the other will fit). Indeed, bikes are adjustable: the seatpost can slide up and down, the saddle can move backwards and forwards and you can even switch out parts like the stem for different sized ones to help the bike fit better.
Finding out whether or not you should pick a bigger or a smaller frame is sometimes as simple as personal preference, but there are a few simple ways to work out which might suit best:
- If you’re flexible, you might prefer a shorter head tube, so the smaller size might work out better for you. You can use a longer stem to make the reach more comfortable.
- On a bigger bike, the reach to the handlebars will be longer. This means that if you have proportionally longer arms, you might be more comfortable on a bigger frame.

The Cannondale Topstone 1 , or Topstone Alloy 1 , is a skilled and versatile gravel bike. It's designed to go far, explore less traveled roads, or speed up your daily commute. Topstone's SmartForm C2 aluminum frame construction is the result of Cannondale's decades of experience working with aluminum. It provides a balanced riding position: raised enough for long-distance comfort and control over difficult terrain, and tilted forward enough for speed.
With mounts for three canisters and top tube storage, the Topstone is ready for long adventures. Multiple bottle cage positions on the down tube allow you to organize the installation of large frame bags. Its frame has enough clearance for large 42mm wide tires for comfort, grip and adventure. Its fork, entirely in carbon, has a tapered steering pivot and 12 mm thru axles, for a light, comfortable front triangle and formidable steering precision.
OutFront technology provides lightweight, maneuverable steering, with the wheel positioned further forward to improve stability and control over rough terrain. In addition, there is a reduced risk of overlap between the toe and the front wheel on smaller frame sizes. The Topstone's frame is designed to allow the installation of a 27.2mm dropper post with internal cable routing, which shouldn't be a big surprise for a bike with such off-road capabilities. Finally, a removable fender bar screws in when you need a fender, and removes when you no longer need it.
