At 400 grams less than the Vivid Coil, the new Vivid Air is more than light and intended to give complexity to other descent dampers. But don't be fooled by its appearance. It is heavy. Thanks to its all-new air spring system, this shock absorber has been designed to tackle the toughest tracks of the World Cup, combining the smooth and regular sensations of a coil shock with the flexibility of adaptation, adjustment possibilities and the unmatched weight savings of an air shock absorber. The result: a shock absorber that sets a new benchmark for downhill performance.

Counter Measure ?

Designed for the elite, the new Vivid sets out to conquer several technical feats previously considered impossible. Technologies such as countermeasure, which reduces the separation force of the shock absorber to almost nil, transform small bumps into performance that generates traction.

Dual Flow Adjust ?
DFA is a bit like Glam Metal. Two things you would never have imagined together, but which, mysteriously, work. Say you are riding a track with both monstrous drops and lots of bumps forcing you to brake. Tradition has it that you adjust your fork to accommodate either of these issues. RockShox's DFA disagrees; it suffices to use its two independent damping circuits to adjust it so that it adapts to both. It will absorb big shocks, while remaining flexible on small items, just like makeup and metal.

Rapid Recovery ?
Who does not want more wheel travel available for successive shakes? The quick recovery system allows the shock to recover faster between consecutive bumps, letting the wheel follow the ground with greater precision. This more active suspension system doesn't let you down and allows the bike to ride in a higher, softer part of spring stiffness. Quick recovery gives the rider more available wheel travel, bump after bump, for a smoother, more controlled run.
