A grip and stability oriented design, especially for women

What is a "special women's" design? For us, it's a shoe that's completely tailored to your body type: a softer collar, a last that contours to your foot, and a lower density ADV-C Chassis for added stability. This mid-cut version of the X ULTRA™ 4 with GORE-TEX combines all of this with waterproof protection and a grippy outsole that performs as well on climbs as it does on descents, so you can enjoy absolute freedom.

Product Highlights

  • Increased Stability: The new ADV-C Chassis targets the joints on the outside of the foot to optimize stability without restricting movement, while the rising last improves ankle support.
  • All-Terrain Grip: The Contagrip® MA outsole hugs the ground, even when it's wet or slippery, for better stride control, especially on downhill runs.
  • Special Women's Design: With softer materials, especially in the collar and heel, a lower-density chassis and a wider fit, this shoe is specifically tailored to the female body type.

  • The Contagrip® MA adapts to a multitude of surfaces. It offers an excellent compromise between geometry and rubber to ensure high confidence on wet, dry, hard or unstable terrain, while providing extended durability.
  • Providing security and protection for the outer ankle joints, this chassis increases stability while offering flexibility and suppleness in the forefoot for optimal freedom of movement and a smooth stride.
  • These movable fins help support the foot and its movement by adapting to its shape and volume.
  • High-penetration, multi-directional grip studs provide better traction on soft ground, including mud and unstable soil.
  • High performance EVA foam for shock absorption.
  • Polyurethane-coated leather protects the material and makes it more robust and resistant.
  • A special treatment prevents the material from soaking up water during showers and light precipitation for added protection.
  • Soft, breathable lining for maximum comfort.
  • Attached to the upper on both sides, the tongue stays centered and prevents debris from entering the shoe.
  • The SensiFit™ wraps the foot from the midsole to the lacing system, providing a secure, precise and nearly custom fit all around the foot.
  • Leather, synthetic or rubber band that wraps around the bottom of the foot and protects the sides and midfoot.
  • Molded to the contours of the foot, this OrthoLite® insole provides exceptional cushioning, breathability and durability for even more comfortable, high-performance footwear.
  • Classic lacing system with eyelets.
  • GORE-TEX® keeps your feet dry inside and out.
  • To reduce our environmental impact, we don't use harmful perfluorocarbons (PFCs) to ensure the water resistance of our footwear. Our waterproof GORE-TEX models do not contain PFCec (perfluorocarbons of environmental concern) but may contain PFCs.
