What to do if you are in between bike sizes?
If you are on the edge of two different bike sizes, don't worry, you'll probably be ok on either size (rather than thinking that one size will be awful and the other will fit). Indeed, bikes are adjustable: the seatpost can slide up and down, the saddle can move backwards and forwards and you can even switch out parts like the stem for different sized ones to help the bike fit better.
Finding out whether or not you should pick a bigger or a smaller frame is sometimes as simple as personal preference, but there are a few simple ways to work out which might suit best:
- If you’re flexible, you might prefer a shorter head tube, so the smaller size might work out better for you. You can use a longer stem to make the reach more comfortable.
- On a bigger bike, the reach to the handlebars will be longer. This means that if you have proportionally longer arms, you might be more comfortable on a bigger frame.

The Boost 148 rear axle, large pivot bearings and All Mountain Geometry deliver assured handling, even when you're exploring the limits of the 140 mm rear and 150 mm front travel. Sram's UDH gear hanger helps protect against crash damage and is easily replaceable. And Integrated Cable Routing reduces maintenance and complements the clean lines of the full carbon main frame.
The secret of a really great bike? It should just get out of the way and let you enjoy the ride. That's why, for the Cube Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC SLX 750, we started by choosing a 150 mm Fox 34 Rhythm fork and matching Float DPS Performance shock. Combined with a Newmen Performance wheelset and Schwalbe Hans Dampf 2.6in tyres, it's the closest we can get to a magic carpet ride. Bosch's fourth-generation CX drive unit and high-capacity 750 Wh battery deliver your power to the trail via Shimano's slick-shifting, legendarily reliable Deore / XT 1x12 transmission. And strong, progressive Shimano XT four-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 203 mm rotors bring you safely to a stop, on demand. With a remote dropper post included in the mix, you simply need to add your spirit of adventure.
