The rim, both solid and light, allows you to explore the unknown in complete serenity. Its 30mm width makes it ultra versatile, it can be used for XC, All Mountain and Enduro Light. This section offers the tire a better balloon to increase grip and comfort, which will positively affect your riding.
DT Swiss has given itself the mission to offer to the users of electric mountain bikes, wheels adapted to the constraints generated by their practices. This is how the DT Swiss HYBRID range was born.
The wheels of an electrically assisted mountain bike must be able to withstand shocks and torsions much more important than those of a classic mountain bike. What could be more normal, given that you ride faster everywhere!
The test of the components of the HYBRID range revealed two things:
The contact area of the spokes on the rim and the hub must be more reinforced.
Some areas can remain as light as standard rims while others need to be reinforced.
This allowed to optimize the rim profile by focusing on lightness in critical areas and reinforcing strategic areas. The HYBRID wheels thus remain light while being able to support a total weight of 150kg.
