Oval chainrings don't produce more force, they increase pedalling efficiency through better force transmission. This means that you won't necessarily go further by pedalling harder. Studies conducted by the University of Primorska, Slovenia, show significant differences between the use of

IMPORTANT :
- Sub Compact trays are not compatible with some power meters that have a circular spider (some Quarq models, Power2Max, etc...)
- Sub Compact trays only work in predefined size combinations. When ordering, ONLY add 30t and 46t, or 32t and 48t trays to your basket or to a set. Mounting screws are included in the purchase price of the tray.
- The 30T chainring can only work with the 46T with the special 46/30 screw set.
- The 32T chainring will only work with the 48T and a special screw set 48/32.
- No other combination or mix of rings will work. Due to the special construction of the assembly, cosmetic screw covers are not available for this design.
- AbsoluteBlack always recommends using a new chain when mounting new trays.

HOW TO MOUNT THE SUPER COMPACT 46/30T & 48/32T 110/4 OVAL CHAINRINGS :
First of all, you need to remove your crank from your bike. Once removed, unscrew the 4 screws that hold the two chainrings together with a T-30 torx key. Remove the two original rings.for 46/30T - Start by placing the large chainring on the crank. There is only one way to do this. Next, locate the triangular mark on the inner circumference of the small chainring and ensure that it will be placed behind the crank. The small plate also has built-in spacers on one side. These spacers must fit into the mounting holes of the crank. The 30T chainring is supplied with 2 M5 screws (Torx T-25) and 2 M7 screws (Torx T-30). Lock both chainrings in place with the screws provided and tighten the M5 screws to 4-5 Nm and M7 to 5-7 Nm for 48/32T. The same procedure applies except that the 32T chainring is supplied with 4 M7 screws (Torx T-30).
