Description

AbsoluteBlack Premium Oval Road 110x4 BCD chainrings are designed for the new Shimano Dura-Ace 9100, Ultegra 8000 & 105 R7000 cranks. Super fast shifting and amazingly smooth pedaling (they can also be adapted to 9000 and 6800 cranks). This is the highest quality oval chainring on the market with scientifically proven performance gains.

Oval chainrings don't produce more power, they increase pedaling efficiency through better power transfer. That means you won't necessarily get farther by pedaling harder. But the less power you lose, the more energy you retain, so you can pedal harder when needed, reducing your overall fatigue. That's why you can ride faster, longer and farther with oval chainrings.

Studies from the University of Primorska, Slovenia, show significant differences between using AbsoluteBlack oval chain rings and traditional round chainrings. It has been proven that using an oval chainring can reduce pedaling efficiency by up to 9%, oxygen consumption by up to 7%, breathing by 15%, and heart rate by up to 10%.

ADJUSTING THE CONVERTER WITH ABSOLUTEBLACK ROAD OVAL CHAIN BLADES:

You will need 2mm and 5mm Allen wrenches to make the adjustment.

Troubleshooting : If your front derailleur sticks out from the small chainring to the large chainring, your "gap" will be greater than 2mm when the chain is on the large chainring (see video). You may need to reduce the gap. Your derailleur may also be too high compared to what is recommended in the video. If your derailleur is hesitant to move from the small chainring to the large chainring, there may be two problems. The gap may be too small (it should be 2mm - see video) or your cage may not be parallel to the face of the large chainring.

110/4 9100/8000 OVAL CHAINBOARD MOUNTING : (SAME INSTRUCTIONS AS FOR 9000/6800 LEVER)

First you need to remove your crank from your bike. After removing it, loosen the 4 bolts holding the two chainrings together with a T-30 Torx wrench. Remove the original two chainrings. Locate the new oval inner chainring with the triangular timing indicator behind the crank arm. The small holes in the chainring bolts are recessed - so the nut heads are flush with the surface of the chainring - these recesses should be facing you when you install the bolts. The outer chainring of Absolute Black has a special lug shape and therefore fits only in one direction on the crank arm. If you are replacing only the inner chainring with an oval chainring, use the original bolts supplied with your crank. If you are changing to a pair of oval chainrings, you will need a set of ordinary "double" chainring bolts or our bolt cover set. Tighten the four bolts to about 5-7 Nm. Reassemble your crank on the bike. You may also need to slightly adjust the front derailleur
