For many years, CHRIS KING headset products have been the benchmark in headset construction. The legendary durability of the high-quality, multi-sealed industrial bearings and the classic design have characterized the appearance of the American manufacturer's products for years. The precision-milled and color-anodized surfaces are, as always with Chris King, of extremely high quality.
The newly developed GripLock system improves the clamping of the steerer tube to counteract the increased forces that occur with long-stroke forks. The multi-piece cap is equipped with a split cone ring that allows an even easier connection of the steerer tube and the fork steerer.
As with all CHRIS KING components, the heart of the headset is in the bearings. These are produced directly at CHRIS KING and, thanks to a special manufacturing process, contain more balls than the competition, resulting in a more stable system overall. Before being fitted, each bearing is manually checked for quality defects and, if necessary, eliminated.
