Description
The Öhlins RXF 36 builds on the recipes of the very successful RXF 34, while offering more stiffness and more clearance for large tires. It uses a three chamber air spring (two positive and one negative) and exclusive TTX damping technology. Together, these systems provide both parallel and separate circulation of oil to manage the overall pressure level.
In practice, this means that the fork remains in the upper part of its travel, without ever degrading comfort or shock absorption. The shape of the hardness curve of the spring can also be modified, which allows riders to adapt it precisely to their preferences, for example in the direction of greater sensitivity, without the risk of reaching a stop.
Öhlins extended the stanchions (36mm) and center distance (110mm) and designed an ultra-rigid two-piece aluminum triple tree triple clamp. Hence less flex for better tire control, and a slight reduction in weight.
