Description

The special Taco Bashguard chain guide is designed to protect your chainring from obstacles such as logs or stones. It is hidden behind the crank and mounted on the ISCG05 tabs around your crankset. It offers great protection for oval and round chainrings, especially direct mount ones (no spider) where you can't mount a normal 4-bolt chainring.

The Taco Bashguard fits oval chainrings up to 32T or round chainrings up to 34T. So you can use it with any 26T-32T oval or 26T-34T round chainring.

HOW TO MOUNT THE BASHGUARD :

The Taco Bashguard can be mounted without removing the crank due to its open construction. Place the Taco behind the crank arm. Try to determine the distance between the plastic plate and the tray. If it is more than 5-6 mm, use the spacers provided to bring the Taco closer to the plate. Ideally the taco should be positioned as close as possible to the tray itself, but do not use all the spacers to achieve this. Do not use more than 4mm of spacers under each bolt. Once you have established the distance, loosely fit the bolts and position the taco in the middle of the bolt slots as a starting point or modify it as required. Tighten the bolts to 5-6 Nm.
