With the Rascal Select, we're taking our trail-oriented clipless shoes to the next level. Built on the SupTraction Rubber Soul CL (CL stands for automatic pedal) with a reinforced upper and the Ortholite Eco Plush insole, the ?deluxe? version of this shoe is not just about its incredible power transfer. The construction combines rigidity in length with flexibility in width and top material. This torsional construction prevents the foot from becoming off-center on the pedal. Special zones for pedaling and ascent ensure support on the pedal or while walking. The fit is perfect and the upper material stays securely closed thanks to the Serpen_Tie_2.0 closure system. So the shoe is suitable for every foot. The improved version of our closure system even allows the straps to be adapted to prevent them from floating. The Airprene_Gaiter of the upper conforms to the ankle and repels dirt while letting the foot breathe even in the height of summer. With its upper material in kevlar this shoe is shock resistant. The No-Sew_Reinforcements protect the toes against stones and roots. The high ankle shaft, fitted with the Ankle_Pad, protects and supports the lower part of the joint without limiting freedom of movement or control of the bike through the pedals. Excellent comfort is provided by heel support (thanks to a preformed part and padding), arch support and a cushioning midsole. Weight: 478 g per shoe (size 42).
SupTraction_Rubber Soul CL w / Reinforced upper: We have paid great attention to the design and composition of the rubber of the sole. We felt it could become more rigid. So we reinforced the upper in the sole to achieve the rigidity that a trail shoe should have.; Upper material with Air_Prene sheath: Kevlar is a tough leather. It is therefore perfect for making a durable shoe. Combined with the dirt-barrier Air_Prene sheath, this shoe is ready for any challenge.; Serpen_Tie 2.0 adjustable length: The straps are often different, especially their height. We took inspiration from our Serpen_Tie system and made it so that the loop could be moved. A simple, fixed hook adjusts the length to provide a perfect fit.
