They love it!
Shimano GRX, with its gravel-specific ergonomics, optimized shifting options, rugged reliability, and quiet, stable drivetrain, stands out from the rest in the component world. It is not a reworked version of a road component set. It represents a new way of thinking about how cyclists want to explore their world. Shimano GRX helps you eliminate excuses, so it urges you to try that rough track or pedal a little longer. It gives you the opportunity to explore further and further.
Shimano GRX RX610 controls have a gravel-friendly design, with a raised 18mm pivot pin, curved lever profile and non-slip coating for better grip on rough terrain.
The GRX FC-RX810-1 crankset is designed to handle different types of terrain and riding styles. They offer a better chain line and more clearance for the rear tire (+2.5 mm). The mono version offers a simplified drivetrain (sprocket set up to 45 teeth) and features improved tooth profile (Dynamic Chain Engagement) for better chain retention on rough terrain.
Adopting the technology introduced in 2018 on the RX model, the mechanical (RD-RX822) rear derailleur offer smooth, quiet and reliable shifting on rough terrain with the SHADOW RD+ system that stabilizes the chain. The GRX range offers four derailleurs depending on the cassette and gearing chosen by the rider.
